Follow your intuition. Choose the plugins that call you. Set the knob to 100%, then 50% and listen. This process is supposed to be fun. Making music is making magic.

Set a timer on. Add a specific day & time to your iCal where you will dedicate time to your demos. See it as play, not a chore.
Take 30 minutes or one hour to simply sit down at your computer, open your DAW and excecute.

I’m here to give you all the tips & tricks that I have gathered over 5+ years of exploration with Ableton Live. I went from having no idea how to record my vocals and literally feeling scared whenever I would open my DAW, to producing my own songs and creating an audio-reactive installation with lighting and video.
My experience as a songwriter and vocalist who used to have a really hard time synthesizing her ideas is proof that ANYONE can do this. Most of the work is done when you face your fear of showing up and feeling like crap because your production does not *yet* match what you hear in your mind while composing.
